One simple conversation with Kate unlocked life-changing perspectives and opportunities to unlearn things that were limiting my beliefs. I cannot thank Kate enough for opening my eyes to the blind spots in my life. Kate continues to remind me of the growth and how that growth continues to show up and impact how I am stepping forward. It’s always full-circle and inspiring.

I didn’t know what to expect when I first decided on coaching. I thought I’m quite good at analysing and assessing how and why I do things the way I do. However, coaching has been eye opening and it allowed me to uncover things that I wasn’t able to access on my own. By getting thoughts that I analysed internally in my head out in the open, they resonated completely differently and added a different dimension when talking about my career and challenges with imposter syndrome (there were a few lightbulb moments!). Learning how to acknowledge and work with this has changed the way I behave and go about achieving my goals, while embracing any uncomfortable situations.
I now reflect and assess in a different way, equipped with tools and knowledge that help me get over what previously seemed like an extremely uncomfortable situation that I would shy away from. Coaching made me feel more confident and able to push myself harder, being more daring and not letting fears stop me utilising my full potential, which is transformative.

I wanted to use coaching for a more personalised approach, I’ve done various coaching courses for careers and self development, and explored various options but I wasn’t sure on the next move and wanted some help to do that. Coaching surprised & inspired me; it was practical, fun, and super grounding - the sessions flew by & enabled me explore different avenues to enrich my life. I’ve moved into action and feel happy and confident about moving forward. I would definitely recommend Kate and would say it was great to have personalised support - I just wish I could have her on tap all the time!

I contacted Kate to discuss working together after a recommendation from someone in my network. My goal was to improve three areas; To develop my ability to be more ‘in the moment’, To reduce my tendency to overcomplicate, Feel more resilient.
Throughout the sessions, I built awareness around my limiting beliefs, the parts of my life that motivate me and the parts I find draining. Kate challenged my assumptions and empowered me to set tangible goals both in the short, medium and long-term. I can’t speak highly enough of her ability as a coach. She’s friendly, engaging and knows when to ask some challenging questions. I’ve learnt so much and I’m continuing to apply things every day.
— Kristian
I would heartily recommend Kate to anyone. Almost every session involved some kind of personal revelation, with lots of my assumptions and barriers getting dismantled, or, more accurately - identified as being false or non-existent. There was a feeling of an evolving and shifting mindset on my side that Kate guided me through with the most gentle of nudging and curiosity. It’s been a hugely valuable experience for me, and I’ve come away with a fresh perspective and approach on my role and career. I’m very grateful to Kate (and wish I’d done it sooner).

When I approached Kate for coaching I was feeling insecure and unsatisfied with my career, having just returned to full time work after maternity leave. I was looking to define a long term plan, specifically some pragmatic steps to take me to “the next level”. But over our coaching sessions I realised that my challenge was not my ability to craft an actionable plan, but rather it was defining what was important to me in order to feel happy and satisfied at work. Kate coached me emphatically through this mindset shift, helping me find clarity on my values and priorities in life overall, and realising that alignment between this and work is key for me to feel fulfilled. Moving forward I feel more equipped to make the right choices for both my career and my family. I would highly recommend to anyone who may feel a little lost or stuck to reach out to Kate, as through her confident and reflective coaching I was able to see my challenges in an honest light.

This has truly been a life changing, empowering experience. Kate has challenged me every session to see the bigger picture. My view on my career has definitely shifted.

Kate helped me get clarity on actionable steps relating to a set of nebulous challenges I’ve been grappling with for some time. Through our work I grew to understand core aspects of my approach that were holding me back. This helped me unlock something that has acted as an anchor against my forward momentum for years. I would happily recommend Kate to anyone seeking a coach who is not only a highly skilled listener but also able to reflect on conversations in a clear and structured way.

Coaching with Kate helped me prepare me for a new more senior role in a larger organisation. Initially apprehensive about the whole process, as talking about myself doesn’t come easy to me, I found the whole process very refreshing. I gained new skills and walk away with a set of tools to practice being a more effective colleague and leader at work. Coaching doesn’t need to be about wanting to fix something, it can be for gaining a new perspective. Being coached by Kate will exactly leave you with that.

Kate coached me while in my job hunting process. Even though I’ve never met with her in person and she coached me online, she immediately made me feel completely relaxed and very trusting, as if I’d known her for a long time. I could “hear” her listen to my replies and then mirror back a deeper meaning. In a surprisingly short time she managed to pop some of my harmful believes and had me formulate ones that made me feel powerful and happy. All of this testifies to a high competence as a coach, and at the same time showing genuine warm interest in you as a person.
She helped me make a difference in how I perceived myself and how I could become the best version of me. If you are in need of a smart, empathetic and effective coach, for yourself or your team you should definitely try a session with Kate. I highly recommend her!

I didn’t know quite how much I needed coaching until my first session with Kate when, thanks to her excellent questioning skills and - more importantly - her ability to listen, she managed to nail a few negative cycles I’d slipped into over the last few years with ease and insight. What was totally refreshing about the experience was that it was not delivered with judgement and that, through her careful guidance, I was able to recognise them for myself. Previous to this initial session I had resigned myself to, and maybe even convinced myself that it was ok to feel, dissatisfaction with both my professional life and personal life but I came away from our meeting feeling excited about the work we were going to do together.
Over the next few sessions, Kate helped me pinpoint a few (incorrect) self-beliefs that were holding me back from doing something exciting and challenging, and gave me some practical tools that, once I was able to recognise my goals, made it feel achievable for me to start being more pro-active about improving my life. Changing career is a hard thing to do and it’s easy to feel like you’ve made a mistake taking the leap, but now I feel empowered and motivated to get on with it - and I know where I’m heading.

Working with Kate was a great experience. She has a lovely, supportive and unobtrusive presence and really knows how to ask the right questions to get you deep under the surface of what you think you know about yourself. I felt my confidence has tremendously improved since our first session. I have gained so much more clarity about my personal and professional strengths and the direction in which I want my business to grow. I would really recommend her coaching to anyone.

Kate is a fantastic coach. She is incredibly perceptive, supportive and is able to get straight to the heart of the issue. She is able to actively listen and ask relevant and simple questions that demonstrate how compassionate and capable she is as a coach. Her passion for helping others really shines through during her sessions. I would highly recommend her services.

Working with Kate has been a very beneficial experience. From beginning to end, Kate created a space in which I felt safe to explore and this level of comfort and immediate trust was very special and fundamental to the work. We worked on a range of issues and Kate brought to the table a wide repertoire of tools and techniques. For me, one of the surprising parts was the mindset shifting activity that we did, which involved using a reflective process to emotionally work through some negative self beliefs. On some level, I think I had reservations about how effective or deep this kind of work could be, but it actually turned out to be one of the most challenging and therefore transformative parts of our coaching together. Kate is kind, joyful, non-judgemental and clear thinking. This is a wonderful combination of qualities that allow her to be incredibly effective in a coaching relationship.

When I first began my coaching sessions with Kate, I felt exhausted from work & social. There was a continual need to help everyone, do everything and project positivity and energy, even when I didn’t feel it. This left me regularly unable to achieve what I needed or wanted resulting in guilt. Kate helped me to establish what my priorities actually were and what I was passionate about. My goal simply became to live a happy and fulfilled life.
Attempting to walk the 2650 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail in the USA featured a lot in our conversations - a passion that embodied all of my values. The idea of doing this had been on my mind for the last 4 years, but constantly delayed because of numerous reasons. Kate coached me through difficult conversations with my partner, family and friends. It was important that they understood that this was not an attempt to run away, a mid-life crisis or any reflection on my relationship with them, but a burning ambition that I needed to do for myself. My visa has been confirmed, flights are booked and my family and friends are in support. Work have also been very supportive and my attitude to work has set boundaries to reduce stress levels. My emotional intelligence has had 3 months of intensive schooling with homework to keep resilience up!

Kate encouraged me to run with what I felt was right for me. It wasn’t ‘preachy’ and I was amazed at what I learned about what makes me me.

I worked with Kate over 3 months. From the get go she helped me structure the goals I wanted to achieve and how coaching could help, which was very useful in making these sessions as effective as possible whilst keeping me in check with these goals I’d set myself. During the course of our work together we focused on the challenges I was mostly concerned with, ranging from people management, to prioritisation of my time and my work-life balance, to dealing with complex, multi-stakeholder situations. Overall Kate had been really helpful in these sessions through a combination of insightful questions, digging deeper and keeping me accountable for my own goals and decisions over time. I’d heartily recommend her to others.

Testimonials and feedback from some of my wonderful business clients and workshop attendees.

Kate came to our project with one week’s notice; in those days before the project she worked quickly, intelligently, creatively and openly to pull together a challenging but well thought out deck. So far, so professional.
What you can’t put into a deck is the sensitivity and good humoured calm execution that she brought to the day. No ever believes exactly how much can be achieved in one day but really you can. It takes a very rare and precious skill that one of my colleagues best described as magic.

In D&AD’s learning curriculum we aim to cover all the core skills all creatives need. One key - but often overlooked - area is resilience; how creatives of all disciplines cope with testing situations including negative feedback, tight deadlines and the need to create brilliant ideas time and again. We’ve found it difficult to find facilitators who specialise and understand in this topic but also have experience of our unique industry... enter Kate! Using her arsenal of techniques and examples, Kate created a one-of-a kind session with us, specifically tailored to creatives and the unique position they are in. Her willingness to share personal stories, openness and calm manner allows delegates to immediately feel at ease, and collaborative approach means delegates have the confidence to apply their learnings to real-life problems, and come out with solutions at the end.

This was INCREDIBLE! I am working with my team to be vulnerable and am role modelling it as well. I have to remember it won’t happen over night”
“I thoroughly enjoyed this presentation. I know these things and it definitely helps to hear again. My struggle is with very tenured employees not ready to live in this vulnerable world. Day by day, with the help of other team members, we are trying to bring them along. Thanks Kate!”
“Thanks! This all goes for men as well as women. I like the key take aways which are challenging, but reachable. Step by step.”
“Thank you for two nice key take aways: “Change is not comfortable”and the very strong question: “When did you last feel vulnerable?
— Role Modelling Vulnerability webinar feedback, BrightTalk
The workshop concepts were high level, which made me easily understand how to be a more productive team member. But also, I understood the specifics of each concept by doing the exercises.”
“Psychological safety and Johari were the biggest takeaways for me, and I’ll be thinking about these a lot more as we continue.”
“I enjoyed the activities around practicing giving feedback, both to inform the way those conversations are structured, and also as a reminder that we don’t give positive feedback often enough. I also really liked gaining an insight into different research/psychological foundations of good team-working practices, and I’d like to look more into this in future.”
“I think it’s been great for everyone to share a day talking about this stuff.”
“I think the exercises around experiences and sillier ones really helped me understand the application of the theory. You were also a very engaging speaker who set a great tone for the day”
“I’ve been wanting to do something like this for a long time it helped give me a vocabulary and visuals about teams in general and good practices!”
“I liked that it helped to reinforce the learnings from the games-oriented scrum training session we previously had. It also added additional terms and practical tools (e.g. feedback giving) to everyone’s repertoire.

Our coaching sessions with Kate allowed us to both focus and think with clarity on our goals – this is often difficult when in the thick of dealing with the day to day running of a business. Kate helped us to see our business with fresh eyes and we probably achieved more forward planning in our sessions than we have in the last couple of years.
— Liz Scarff, co-founder Fieldcraft Studios
Kate introduced our small team to the idea of coaching and was immediately able to help us overcome some communication issues we were having. Even just taking a bit of time out to talk in a safe and comfortable environment was a massive eye opener for us!
